Huntingdon Rotary Club Campaign

As someone who has the deepest love for this community—and the people in it—I want to speak to you not just as the Executive Director of the Huntingdon County United Way, but as Rachelle.

We are in the final weeks of our 2025-26 campaign, and we’re so close to reaching our $400,000 goal. But more than the number, what keeps me up at night are the needs we’re seeing every day:

Parents calling because they don’t know how they’ll feed their kids this week. Seniors who have no transportation to get to medical appointments. Children who’ve experienced trauma, now waiting months for mental health support. Families that are doing everything right, but still can’t keep up.

These are our neighbors. And I can’t pretend it’s okay.

That’s why I’m writing to you. Not because I think you haven’t done enough—Rotary members always show up—but because I know your heart, and I know the kind of leader you are.

We are thrilled at the possibility of welcoming 8 to 10 new agencies into our United Way network. These groups are stepping up in powerful ways—to address mental health, rural poverty, food insecurity, and more. They’re ready. But they need a launchpad.
