I have always loved running. I ran track and cross country in high school and continued to run for fun throughout college. After running a handful of half marathons and marathons, I started running ultramarathons in 2019, but never dreamed that I would ever run a 100 mile race. That sounded way too crazy and pretty much impossible. However, each time I completed a new ultramarathon distance, I found myself wanting an even bigger challenge.

So here I am… training for my first 100 mile race at Across the Years in Arizona over New Years Eve.

Over the summer, I found myself able to incorporate another passion of mine into my life… working with dogs as a volunteer at the Pet Adoption Center of Orange County. I absolutely love dogs and have two rescues of my own, and it has always been a dream of mine to help dogs who are in need of homes. Volunteering at the PAC has brought so much joy to my life.

All of the dogs at the PAC are so sweet and deserve to be loved. I just want them all to find their furever homes.
