The Grace Villa Home and Sanctuary for vulnerable girls in Kabale is a loving home where girls receive shelter, support and are empowered. My sister Ruth started Grace Villa 10-years ago, the Lord has been faithful and true.
The current gathering point at Grace Villa is under an avocado tree. Here the children dance, debate, hold workshops, pray, have a cup of porridge and more. They love this space. But when it rains, they duck. Then in the hot season, it gets dusty and unbearable. Grace Villa needs a dance floor, a dining room, a library, a tailoring room, a sick bay, bathrooms and shower facilities, and a multipurpose room
to be able to provide holistic care for the children.
So we came up with an idea. To call upon people from all around the world to bike/run/walk/wheelchair an accumulative 40,000 kilometers (25,000 miles)—roughly the circumference of the earth—over a 4-
week period. All funds raised will go towards building a Grace Villa Library and Resource Center.
