Shaniko Music Sanctuary raises funds for rural music education by bringing musicians and listeners together. We are working with some amazing local partners in 2026 to support the momentum for music in the underserved Oregon Frontier Region with a large-scale arts and community visioning project . While we are most well-known for our main fundraising event, the annual Tygh Valley Bluegrass Jamboree, we have some other nifty programming up our sleeves, too.

Our long-term goal is to supporting the next generation of musicians in rural Central Oregon

A key element to our success is activating the community. We have expanded our network this year to build relationships with Ford Family Foundation, Rural Development Initiatives, and Insights for Action.

Instruments donated to the lending library: 19
