The Gathering Place supports women, gender-diverse people, and their children in building stable lives through home, health, purpose, and community programs. We provide low-barrier, trauma-informed care to those seeking refuge from homelessness and instability.

By registering for our first ever Steps to Stability Hybrid 5K Event, you are helping us raise essential funds to sustain programs that provide resources and a path to stability for those we serve. At a time when our core values of inclusivity, safety, empowerment, and hope are being challenged, it is more important than ever to stand strong in support of the most vulnerable members of our community. The event will be held on Saturday, June 7 at 8:00am. A portion of the event at Cheesman Park will be livestreamed on socials and on our GiveButter page. Steps to participate:

Register: purchase your ticket and invite friends and family to register too!
Pick your scene: your favorite park or trail (or treadmill!) OR join The Gathering Place crew at Cheesman Park.
Download your preferred fitness app: here are a few options—Strava, Nike Run Club, MapMyRun, Runkeeper. Use to track your distance and time.
If you would like to submit your time to be eligible for one of 5 prizes, please take a screenshot of your distance and time on your selected fitness app. Prizes will be fitness and self-care themed.
Snap and share: take pictures and tag us on socials!

T-shirts and Swag Pick-Up: Thursday, June 5 at The Gathering Place--1535 High St, Denver, CO 80218 2pm-5pm OR pick up at Cheesman Park day of event.

Must register before May 17 to guarantee swag availability.

Prizes and Eligibility: The 5 fastest times submitted will receive a prize to be picked up at The Gathering Place the week of June 8. Please email your screenshot to Development@tgpdenver.org with the Subject "S2S Time" no later than Sunday, June 8 at 11:59pm. We will announce the 5 winners via socials and email the week of June 8.

Snacks and beverages will be available for registrants joining at Cheesman Park.

Reminders and updates will be emailed to all registrants.

Additional ways to support: Share on socials and help us fundraise through ticket purchases and/or donations. Ask registrants/donors to list your first and last name when promoted.
