Story

Scientific Adventures for Girls invites you to this important discussion.

How can we build and sustain a technology workforce that's more equitable for women?

We envision a world where women pursue and are chosen for roles that give them more opportunity - where they are respected and appreciated for what they bring to the table and compensated fairly. What steps do we take to make that reality?

In honor of Women's History Month, SAfG wants to bring the best minds together and help make progress. We're hosting a Closing the Gender Gap in Technology panel discussion on March 15 from 4 - 5 p.m.(PST)

Moderator: Lynn Bloomer, Director, Networking Academy Global Operations at Cisco Systems, Inc.

PANELISTS:

- Mary Ellen Kassotakis, Executive Director, Oracle Women's Leadership,
- Reema Batnager, VP People, Pixar Animation Studios, and
- Supriya Jha, Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer, SAP

During the event, prominent Bay Area Female Tech Leaders will share their lessons learned, best practices and insights:
● Where are we today?
● What are the best practices for gender equity?
● What are your top 3 recommendations for reducing the gender gap in technology?
● How can we inspire and engage young girls about tech? What can parents do to help?
● What can each of us - individually - do to push progress forward?

Scientific Adventures for Girls is Changing the Face of Science with its afterschool STEM Education for K-6th grade girls in 22 schools in the San Francisco East Bay.

Join us as we discussion this important issue!
