Almost forty years ago, Southern Crescent Habitat for Humanity began with a simple, powerful belief: that everyone deserves a decent place to live.

Since then, we’ve hammered, built, painted, and partnered with families across Butts, Clayton, Fayette, Henry, and Newton counties turning empty lots into neighborhoods, and dreams into foundations.

We’ve seen what happens when a family receives not just shelter, but stability. Not just walls, but warmth. Not just a house, but an address.

An Address Is More Than a Location... It’s a Lifeline!

Because when a child has a safe place to sleep, they do better in school.
When parents have a front door they can lock, they find peace of mind.
And when families have an address to call their own, they start to believe in a future filled with possibility.

For the Wilsons, it’s the address where their daughter took her first steps.
For the Martinez's', it’s the street where they finally planted a garden.
For the Dorsey's, it’s where they hosted their first holiday dinner.

Each of these addresses represents a story of transformation.

As We Celebrate 40 Years, We Look Ahead

This year, we mark a milestone:
40 years of building hope in the Southern Crescent.

Over 480 families housed.
Thousands of volunteers engaged.
Millions of dollars in economic impact.

But our work is far from over. Too may families in our community still live without safety, without security, without the stability that comes from home.

We believe it’s time to change that.
