As an interior designer, I've always been passionate about creating spaces that enhance the lives of those who inhabit them. However, it wasn't until a particular experience that my perspective on design and its impact truly shifted.
Last year, while working on a home renovation project for a client, I had the opportunity to visit a Habitat for Humanity build site as a contributing sponsor and later on as a build team volunteer. Witnessing the dedication and hard work of volunteers as they worked together to construct homes for families in need left a profound impression on me.
As I walked through the unfinished houses, I couldn't help but imagine the joy and gratitude that would fill these spaces once they were completed. It was then that I realized the true power of design to not only beautify a space but also to provide shelter, comfort, and stability for those less fortunate.
Inspired by what I had seen, I knew I wanted to do more to support Habitat for Humanity and their mission to provide affordable housing to families in need. That's why, as an interior designer, I've decided to use my skills and platform to fundraise for this incredible organization.
Through fundraising events, design workshops, and collaborations with fellow designers and industry partners, I'm committed to raising awareness and funds to support Habitat for Humanity's vital work. Because every family deserves a safe and beautiful place to call home, and every dollar raised brings us one step closer to making that a reality.
As an interior designer, I believe it's not just about creating beautiful spaces—it's about using our talents to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. And supporting Habitat for Humanity is one of the most impactful ways I can do that.
