The Ridgewood Special Education Parent Advisory Group (SEPAG) is kicking off its 2025 fundraising drive to support special education students and programming, which will culminate in our very first SEPAG Gala!

The Ridgewood SEPAG is a volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that exists to improve the quality of Ridgewood’s special education policies, programs, and practices. Our aim is to support and educate families and to provide enrichment to special education students in our town. Funds raised by the SEPAG have supported initiatives such as:

Awarding $1,000 scholarships annually to three graduating high school students;
Gifting YMCA memberships to students graduating from the STEPSS 18-21 transition program;
Fall and Spring Parent Socials to create crucial networks of support for parents of special education students;
Parent Coffees at each school in the district to connect families with each other, teachers, related service providers, and support staff;
Spearheading efforts to make district and HSA-sponsored events sensory-friendly and accessible to all participants, including the introduction of sensory-friendly dinners and chill out areas at school-wide picnics and socials;
Granting funds to the district to support special education student enrichment, such as funds for community based instruction.
