St. James Military Appreciation Day (SJMAD) 2026 Neighborhood Donations

American Legion Post 543 is committed to making a measurable difference in the lives of veterans, their families, and youth in our local community.

The Post provides direct support to active-duty service members and their families while delivering critical assistance to veterans navigating life challenges and the VA system. The Post Service Team manages more than 100 veteran assistance cases annually, coordinating with county, state, and national organizations to secure timely, effective support.

Post 543 proudly maintains an Honor Guard to ensure honorably discharged veterans receive the military honors they have earned at burial or interment.

Through American Legion programs and partnerships with local educational institutions, Post 543 promotes patriotism, citizenship, leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship—investing in the next generation while honoring those who served.

Most importantly, the majority of funds raised here, stay here to assist local veterans in need as well as the youth and programs in our local community.
