Food insecurity is a reality for many families in our community — and recent loss or reduction of SNAP benefits has placed even greater strain on homes already working hard to make ends meet. As followers of Christ, we believe every family deserves the dignity of a full pantry and the peace of knowing their children are fed.

Oakley United Methodist Church is launching the Nourishing Neighbors Campaign to provide direct food assistance to local families by supplying Aldi gift cards. These cards allow families to choose the fresh, healthy groceries that best meet their needs — with flexibility, dignity, and love.

We are honored to partner with Oakley Elementary School, who will help us discreetly and respectfully connect these resources with students and families most impacted by reduced assistance.

How It Works

Donations from Oakley UMC members, friends, and community partners fund the program.
Aldi gift cards are purchased in meaningful amounts to support grocery needs.
School counselors and administrators at Oakley Elementary help identify families experiencing food insecurity.
Cards are distributed directly, privately, and compassionately.
