Music Tells the Story of My Heart

Music has the power to shape lives, spark joy, and tell stories words alone cannot capture. In Sun Prairie, our bands are more than ensembles. They are communities where students discover their voice, grow in confidence, and share their hearts through sound.

This year, the Sun Prairie Band Boosters launch our very first themed donation campaign, Music Tells the Story of My Heart. Inspired by the national Sing Me a Story initiative, several of our bands will commission original works based on children’s stories—transforming words into music, and music into hope.

Your gift supports every corner of our band family: Sun Prairie Bands at both the high school and middle school levels, Sun Prairie Jazz, the Sound of Sun Prairie, and the Sun Prairie Band Lesson Academy. Together, these programs open doors for students to learn, perform, and thrive.
