Today, there are no treatments available for CASK gene disorders, which have no clear prognosis and result in motor incoordination, intellectual disabilities, seizures and a range of other health challenges. With limited funding available for pediatric rare disease, the parents behind Project CASK are working urgently to expand and accelerate therapeutic development.

Launched in August 2023, Project CASK has already changed the prospects for children and families affected by CASK by sparking scientific interest and this July, we have announced our first grant award, to an innovative gene therapy research project!

Project CASK is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the mission to drive research breakthroughs to treat and cure CASK gene disorders. Parent-led and guided by world-renowned scientists, Project CASK is building a network of collaborators to harness innovation and accelerate the development of effective treatments for the promise of a brighter tomorrow for children and families affected by this neurogenetic disorder.
