This April, in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), we’re raising $10,000 to fund our most powerful initiative yet: The SR-EXA Facilitator Certification Program

At Self-Reclaimed, we are a survivor-led nonprofit creating trauma-informed, abolitionist, and radically creative healing spaces for survivors of sexual assault (SA) and domestic violence (DV)—especially those most often silenced: BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and system-impacted individuals. We don’t just talk about justice—we embody it through arts-based healing, community power, and deep care.

We don’t believe survivors need to be “rescued.”
We believe they need to be resourced.

ABOUT THE SR-EXA CERTIFICATION:

This isn’t just a training. It’s a movement. A survivor-centered, expressive arts-based certification that equips community members—advocates, artists, survivors, and allies—to lead communal healing spaces that center the voices society has pushed to the margins. This program allows us to scale impact without sacrificing values. It’s how we shift from surviving to thriving.

WHAT: Each module will serve as Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and the program in its entirety will certify individuals for delivering Self-Reclaimed's theory of change modality within their own communities.

WHEN: Our internal pilot will be delivered Summer 2025. Our external launch located in-person in Evanston, IL —open to Chicagoland participants— will be delivered Fall 2025.
