I'm beyond excited to join Summerstock Austin for the first time this year! I chose to study musical theatre in college despite being told that it was too "financially unstable" or that I was "too new" to theater to be sure and successful in my decision (having only ever done two productions before college auditions). However, pursuing this career has been one of the best decisions of my life as it's helped me grow into a happier, more confident version of myself. This is exactly what Summer Stock Austin specializes in. By giving students like me an opportunity to perform in a professional setting, young actors learn a multitude of transferable skills such as leadership, work ethic, project management and more.
