Rheagan Higgins is an African American performer, writer, and director from Pearland, Texas. She received a B.F.A in Theatre with a Film Concentration from Texas State University. Her most recent acting credit includes Oh, to be Pure Again by Kiera Rockwell, directed by Caitlin Parker.
After discovering her love for storytelling through vocal performance and acting, at the age of four, she was given the opportunity to step onto the stage at a community theatre in Deer Park, Texas as an Ensemble member in the well-known and loved musical, Hairspray. Her experience in this small community theatre propelled and inspired her to never stop creating. Since that moment she has been persistent in her performance pursuits and advocacy for accessible arts education. Her most recent theatrical achievement is The New Works Play Festival at Texas State University, where she workshopped and shared her original play, Water Over Blood.
This is her first time as an Arts Administration Intern with Summer Stock Austin, and she could not be more excited to support the amazing company and mission of Impact Arts!
