Stonewall Sports Chicago is an LGBTQIA+ and ally-driven, community-based nonprofit that brings people together through sports while raising critical funds for local organizations. At our core, we believe in building inclusive, welcoming spaces where every player is valued for who they are, and where community, connection, and FUN come first.

Founded in 2014 with just 120 kickball players, Stonewall Sports Chicago has grown into a vibrant network of over 2,000 unique players annually across 7 leagues. Kickball remains our flagship sport, now welcoming nearly 2,000 players each year and making it the largest single Stonewall league of any sport across all 28 chapters nationwide. Each spring and fall season brings together an incredible cross-section of our community, from first-time players to long-time leaders.

Giving back is central to everything we do. Each season, our leagues host fundraising events in support of our charity partners, organizations doing vital, on-the-ground work to uplift and protect LGBTQIA+ individuals across Chicago. To date, we have proudly donated over $900,000 to support this work.

Over the years, we have partnered with impactful organizations including Chicago House, TPAN, LGBTQ+ Asylum Task Force, Bisexual Queer Alliance Chicago (BQAC), Chicago Black Gay Men's Caucus, and the Transformative Justice Law Project of Illinois (TJLP). We have also made a sustained three-year commitment to Brave Space Alliance and Center on Halsted's Youth & Family Services Program, ensuring consistent, long-term support for LGBTQIA+ youth and underserved communities.
