Donate to Help Kickstart Billy’s Street Mission Fund – Saving Mama & Friends Edition

Billy’s Street Mission is a long-ongoing project we have been working on since late 2023. While dozens of dogs have been rescued, many have been left behind. In 2026, we would like to finally get Mama safely off the streets and into a home.

At this time, there are multiple dogs, cats, and a newborn litter of puppies that all need help. This fund is intended to cover vaccinations, spay/neuter services, and temporary boarding as needed.

Currently, there are no other rescues lined up to assist, and we need additional support. Local volunteers have plans to take the dogs for spay/neuter and release to prevent more litters, but we would really like to find safe placements for them rather than returning them to the streets.

One small tan female was hit by a car the other day and is now limping. Days-old puppies are living under a trailer, and once they start moving, they will undoubtedly be at risk of becoming roadkill.

We have a donor match of up to $1,000 to kickstart this campaign. Please consider helping us reach this goal so we can begin the next phase of this work. We will continue adjusting the fund as needed and providing updates along the way.

Donations to this fund will be made to Second Start Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based out of Virginia. All funds will remain in this account and will only be used for the dogs from Billy’s Street, regardless of which rescue they ultimately go to. In the event any donations remain at the conclusion of the project, they will be reallocated to an RGV Spay Fund.
