At GaitWay, we believe in building confidence—step by step, stride by stride. Our Dream Maker program is living proof that when you pair hard work with horsepower, transformation happens. These young women learn to navigate life’s challenges by working alongside their equine partners, and now, we’re ready to add a new, hands-on tool to their journey: an equine obstacle course.

This course won’t just be a training space—it will be a physical representation of what GaitWay programs for. Each obstacle introduces a new challenge: walking over a bridge, backing through poles, weaving between barrels. They’re exercises in trust, courage, and communication. And for our participants, each step through the course mirrors the obstacles they face in their own lives—fear of failure, uncertainty, self-doubt. The difference is, here at the ranch, they don’t face them alone.

For the horses, it provides mental stimulation and variety in their training, keeping them sharp, healthy, and engaged. For the girls, it creates a safe environment to try, to fail, to try again—and to succeed.
