We know life is busy, calendars are full, and sometimes the best place to be is right where you already are. That’s why the JCPL Foundation invites you to the Snuggle Up with a Book Ball, the event you don't attend.

All you need to do is donate, grab a book (or a few), and read anywhere, anytime, with anyone, or no one at all. Participants can create teams and invite others to join, or donate as an individual. However you take part, the goal is the same: enjoy some reading time while supporting the Library we all love. Your donation supports JCPL programs throughout the year.

What’s a cozy celebration without a little fun? All participants will be entered into hourly door prize drawings during the event.

So, on February 28, 2026, curl up with a good book, your favorite people (or pets), and a comfy spot, and enjoy reading for a cause. Sometimes, not attending is the best part.

Snuggle Up With a Book Ball has three ways to donate:

General Donations: Scroll on up to the purple "Click Here to Donate or..." button. Enter how much you want to give and how often. Credit a team or individual if you want to contribute to their goal. No team? No problem. Your donation will go to our overall goal. This option keeps things quick and easy. You will not be listed as a team member, but can write a note to the team you support on the donation form.
Set an Individual Goal: Want to make a bigger impact? Click that purple "Start and Join Teams" button under the Team Leaderboard. You can set your own fundraising goal that will feed into the overall event goal. You can still join a team, and your personal goal will contribute to their total. You will be listed as a team member. Use the link provided after registration to invite friends and family to contribute to your goal and add your own donation.
Team Captain: Want to make the biggest impact and rally a crew? Click that purple "Start and Join Teams" button under the Team Leaderboard. Name your team, set a goal, and tell your story! Your team's fundraising goal will feed into the overall event goal and be tracked on the Team Leaderboard. Use the link provided after registration to invite friends and family to contribute to your goal with general donations, set their own individual goals, and add your own donation.

Want to give by check? You can! Follow the usual donation prompts and then select "Check" for mailing instructions. Your gift will be credited to the goal.
