Sioux City Community Schools play a vital role in educating 14,500 future leaders annually. With big dreams, our young leaders have the energy to ignite Siouxland. But, they need your support.

Their future – and ours – begins with the important education our students receive each and every day in the Sioux City Community School District. Unfortunately, limited state funding means gaps in support that our students need to excel. The Sioux City Public Schools Foundation exists to fill those gaps, ensuring Sioux City kids have access to critical programs and services to help them reach their full potential.

Caps and gowns for graduating seniors who cannot afford to purchase their own
Warm coats for students who do not have clothing for our coldest months
Discrete menstrual supplies avoiding missed school days.

Career and Technical Education to prepare students for career and secondary education options after high school.

Equipment to provide hands-on learning experience
Professional development opportunities to engage teachers with the latest industry trends

STEM to encourage students’ interest in science, technology, engineering, and math.

Interactive science labs to encourage student curiosity

$100,000 toward the District’s trades building and CTE for Sioux City Career Academy students
$75,000 in physical donations (clothing, personal hygiene products, etc.)
$20,000 for math and science professional development conferences
$18,000 for 8^th grade science labs
$2,000 for arts and culture initiatives
