In a few short weeks, Sonoma Valley High School sophomore Riley O’hara is headed to Washington, D.C., to represent California and compete in the prestigious Poetry Out Loud final competition.

For those familiar with Poetry Out Loud, advancing to this stage of the competition is a remarkable accomplishment and gives Riley a chance to compete alongside talented students across the country.

We hope you’ll join us in bolstering his support by sending his dedicated coach and teacher, Mr. Travis Beall, with him for the final competition in D.C.

Mr. Beall has been a trusted advisor and integral part of Riley’s support system, and being able to attend would serve not only Riley but also future students who currently participate in SVHS’s Poetry Out Loud school-based program.
