2024 SYHS Safe+Sober Grad Nite

The Safe + Sober Grad Night tradition provides our graduates a well-earned celebration with their classmates before they head off into the world.

For the parents and community, this event assures that the 200 graduating seniors have an event that is safe, sober, legal, supervised and drug-free, alcohol-free and smoke-free. Every year there are reports of graduating seniors who do not survive graduation night as a result of alcohol or other substance abuse.

The Grad Night Committee is committed to making sure this kind of tragedy does not happen in our valley. As a community, we all have an interest in seeing these young people safely launched into adulthood to pursue their goals and contribute back to our community.

To Make This Happen We Need Your Help with Sponsorships and Monetary Donations

SYHS Safe & Sober Grad Nite is an official Booster Club of Santa Ynez Valley Union High School and has the full support of the Santa Ynez Pirate PTO. Santa Ynez Pirate PTO is acting as the fiscal sponsor for the SYHS Safe and Sober Grad Nite for 2024 and both entities have applied for exemption under 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code as a public charity. Upon recognition of exemption under 501(c)(3), contributions to Santa Ynez Pirate PTO and the SYHS Safe & Sober Grad Nite will be tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
