On Saturday, July 19, an incredible group of volunteers dedicated their time for a day of hands-on service and community connection at San Jose Place, one of our supportive care homes for individuals receiving life-saving treatment for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

Volunteers transformed the backyard space into a more welcoming, comfortable, and healing environment for residents.

Activities included:

Light gardening and maintenance, trimming hedges, and removing clippings
Laying down ground cover, placing pavers, and spreading gravel and mulch
A thank you, BBQ, once we finished, we fired up the grill for a group celebration lunch

By refreshing our spaces with volunteer support, PRC can focus resources on delivering crucial services while creating uplifting environments for healing and recovery.
