Where institutions saw deficit, Reiki offered an expansive framework to hold her son, herself, and her family in.

BIO - Oneness Sankara is an award-winning British artist, writer, and Reiki practitioner whose work spans poetry, theatre, music, and social advocacy. With over 25 years of experience, she has performed on regional and international stages. From the Royal Festival Hall and Glastonbury Festival to BBC Radio and Sky TV; earning accolades such as Best Spoken Word Artist at the BEFFTA Awards and the first non-US awardee at the Toronto International Poetry Slam.

As the founder of T21 Alchemy, Oneness is developing a groundbreaking play that explores the lived experiences of a Black mother raising a child with Down syndrome. This project challenges prevailing narratives around Trisomy 21/Down Syndrome, disability, and caregiving, amplifying voices that are often overlooked while fostering empathy, understanding, and inclusion.

Beyond her creative endeavors, Oneness is a passionate advocate for SEND families and women of African heritage. Through her work, she empowers individuals to reclaim their narratives and embrace their authentic selves.
