Update: As of 6:27pm our amazing community raised all the funds necessary to send Gunner on his journey to start a new life in Mattersville. We are so happy and grateful! Thank you to everyone who showed such incredible generosity and support for this sweet and beautiful wolf-dog.

Gorgeous Gunner has an opportunity for a fresh start at a specialized wolf-hybrid sanctuary located in Sedalia, Colorado. All of us at HSCC love this incredibly intelligent, beautiful wolf-dog and have been working hard to find him the right home. However, after gathering information from his foster families and consulting with our canine behavior experts, we've determined that Gunner will not thrive in a typical home setting.

We do not want to give up on Gunner, so we contacted Wolf-Dog Rescue Mattersville located in Colorado. They agree that their Heroes and Hybrids program at their spacious wolf-dog sanctuary will be a wonderful fit for Gunner. However, they need funding to build his safety enclosure and to transport Gunner from Vermont to Colorado.

The cost to provide Gunner with a second chance is $3,500. If you're able to help, please chip in so we can give this oh so deserving dog an opportunity to live his wolf-dog life to the fullest.
