Secular Rising US is a 501c3 organization based in Nashville, TN. Our Mission is to connect and support Atheists, Humanists, Secular folks and their allies through Activism, Community, Education, and Service Opportunities.

Founded in November of 2024, Secular Rising US was born from a realization that there are already so many great organizations in the Middle TN area that get together regularly. There are also lots of people who support Atheist, Humanist, and Secular causes. That being said, most people don't know about these gatherings and only find out after the fact.

Plus, where would Secular people come together to celebrate and lift each other up anyway? No matter where you are going in Nashville, you'll pass a dozen churches, but there isn't a single place for Secular people to call home!

We're here to change that!

Our goal is to provide a hub for information on all the different opportunities for Atheists, Humanists, and Secular Folks to gather in the South. We will promote and support the great things already happening in this area while also hosting our own events to provide even more chances for our community to grow! Our plan is to hold these events in what will be the first dedicated space for Secular Folks in Nashville! Our long term vision is to replicate this in communities lacking these types of gatherings with a focus on creating a network of like minded organizations and people across the country.
