Shank It & Serve It returns to Birchwood Country Club on Monday, September 14, 2026, and the day is getting bigger!

***New this year: a full 18-hole morning scramble and our first-ever canasta tournament, joining the afternoon 9-hole scramble and the ladies' point-play tennis tournament that filled the courts last fall.

However you play, or if you skip the games entirely and come straight for the cocktail reception, every dollar supports the Hearts in Harmony Foundation's mission to advance research and improve treatment options for Long QT Syndrome, a serious heart rhythm condition that can cause fainting, seizures, or sudden death.

Schedule of events:

Golf Shotgun Start #1 (18 holes): Registration opens at 8:30am, golf begins promptly at 9:00am

Lunch for All Participants: 1:30pm - 3:00pm

Golf Shotgun Start #2 (9 holes): Registration opens at 1:30pm (during lunch), golf begins promptly at 3:00pm

Tennis Tournament: Registration opens at 1:30pm (during lunch), tennis begins promptly at 2:30pm

Canasta Tournament: Registration opens at 3:00pm, cards in the air at 3:30pm

Reception: Hors d'oeuvres, open bar, vendor pop-ups, and merch at 6:00pm

The day starts early this year: our new 18-hole scramble tees off with a 9:00am shotgun start. Lunch runs from 1:30pm to 3:00pm as the morning golfers come off the course and the afternoon crowd arrives. Tennis takes the courts at 2:30pm, the 9-hole scramble follows at 3:00pm, and canasta deals in at 3:30pm. It all comes together at the cocktail reception at 6:00pm. The hors d'oeuvres and open bar are just the start: we're lining up vendor pop-ups, merch, and a few things we're not announcing yet, so plan to stay a while.

If we must postpone due to weather, the entire event moves to Monday, September 28, 2026.
