Single MoMM: Parenting Class

Single MoMM will be offering a glimpse into our parenting class called, “Inside Out Parenting.” Single moms will come together to discover how observing, connecting, listening and responding to our children can contribute to an increase in our children’s mental health and the overall health of our homes. This session will include a get-to know-you activity, and group time to discuss the topic. Meet other single moms and take home a special gift as our way of celebrating your participation in the class!

About Kara: Hi, I’m Kara Terpstra, and I’ve been a single mom for over nine years. I have two amazing kids: my daughter is 11 and my son is 15. Like you, I’ve walked through the ups and downs, the messy moments, and the quiet victories that come with raising kids on my own.

For the past year, I’ve had the privilege of serving as the Local Director for Single Momm. This role isn’t just a job to me—it’s a calling born out of my own journey. I know how lonely, overwhelming, and exhausting single motherhood can feel at times. But I also know how strong, capable, and resilient we truly are.

My heart is to come alongside other single moms right where they are and remind them they’re not alone. Whether you’re in a season of struggle or celebration, there’s a community here for you. Together we can share our stories, lift each other up, and keep moving forward one day and one step at a time.
