A Box Full of Book Hugs Is On Its Way! 💚📦📚

We’re honored to share that a special Story Monsters Greenie Box™️ is headed to Project Angel Hugs, thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who contributed to Siona Talekar’s fundraising campaign!

This care-filled box includes signed copies of I Know What You Do When I Go to School by 13-year-old author Siona Talekar, along with other heartwarming children’s books—donated with love to bring hope, comfort, and joy to young readers who need it most.

💛 Project Angel Hugs is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the emotional well-being of children with cancer and their families across the U.S. Through personalized care packages, cards, and heartfelt “hugs,” they remind every child that they’re never alone in their fight. Age-appropriate books are a meaningful way to offer comfort, encouragement, and a joyful distraction during treatment and hospital stays.

The Story Monsters Greenie Box™️ will be housed at their headquarters, where their team of real-life angels will make sure these special books reach the children who need them most.

Help Me Share My Book—and Smiles—
With 5,000 Kids Who Need It Most!

Hi! My name is Siona Talekar, and I’m 13 years old.

When I was 7, I wrote and illustrated a book called I Know What You Do When I Go to School. It started with a question I kept wondering about: What does my mom do while I’m away at school? In my imagination, she was eating chocolate cake, watching movies, and having the best day ever! But in real life, my mom is a pediatric oncologist—a doctor who helps kids who are battling cancer. That’s when I realized that sometimes parents are quiet superheroes.

Now that I’m 13, I’ve updated the story and the artwork, and my book is being published by Story Monsters Press!

But I don’t want to just sell my book—I want to share it with other kids who might need a little joy, imagination, and comfort in their lives.

My Goal

With your help, I want to donate my book to 5,000 children through:

• 1,500 printed books for children in hospitals, Title I schools, and shelters

• 3,500 digital books delivered through nonprofits and outreach programs

• Special deliveries of Story Monster Greenie Boxes™—fun boxes filled with books, activities, and surprises to make a child feel extra special

These books and boxes will go to kids who may be having a tough time and could use a reminder that someone is thinking about them.
