Add to Calendar 2023-09-30 12:00:00 America/Los_Angeles Canoe the Slough 2023 Join the Northcoast Regional Land Trust and supporters on a paddle in kayaks through Humboldt Bay & Freshwater Slough. Experience this special place in a new way, and enjoy the great outdoors. Meet at the Table Bluff Lighthouse on Woodley Island at noon (302 Startare Dr, Eureka). We will carpool to Freshwater Farms Reserve and launch from Freshwater Farms Reserve by 1 pm. We will paddle out from FWFR to the island following the receding tide, completing the tour by 4 pm. The event capacity is 25 boats, so get your tickets now! This 5-mile paddle requires sustained movement. All boats and safety gear are provided. Dress warmly, wear a hat, and bring water and a snack. Ages 12 and up welcome – families encouraged!
