Passion and power of the 2021-2022 season concludes in dramatic fashion with music by Mozart, Copland, and Brahms.

One of Copland’s most popular pieces, A Lincoln Portrait was commissioned during the beginning of World War II for a program of three new works by American composers. It is a one-movement work with narration made up of quotations which Copland collected from the speeches and letters of President Abraham Lincoln. 

This performance will be narrated by the American film, television and stage actor, David
Selby, who is highly regarded for his work on many soap classics. 

There will be a pre-concert lecture presented by Ann Lucas that will enhance your enjoyment and understanding of the music. This Pre-Concert Lecture is FREE and open to all concert goers. The lecture will be held just before the concert, beginning at 6:50PM and ending at 7:10PM.
