Join us as we celebrate the return of the 7^th Annual Sonrisas Cooking for a Cause Paella Demonstration and Benefit dinner!

This fun-filled evening includes cooking demonstrations of three classic varieties of Spanish-style paella (chicken, vegetable, seafood), a delicious paella dinner, fantastic tapas, live music from band The Outer Half, and a no-host bar featuring Iberian wines, beer from Hop Dogma, and other beverage options. The event will be held outside in the courtyard of the stunning Half Moon Bay Library and we will be requiring proof of vaccination to keep it safe.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Sonrisas Dental Health, a non-profit in HMB and San Mateo that provides access to oral health care to those who face barriers to care as well as screening and educating over 1,000 kids in lower income schools throughout San Mateo County, including on the Coast. We are celebrating our 20th anniversary this year.

Together, we will bring smiles to more neighbors throughout our community! We hope to see you there.

Making It a Safe Event

This year's return to our classic Paella event will take place in the beautifully landscaped outdoor area at the Half Moon Bay Library (photo HERE). Event guests will be required to wear masks any time they are indoors.

As part of the ticketing process, we will ask you to verify that you have been fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by sending us an image of your vaccine card. If you are not able to send an image of your vaccine card, please notify us that you plan to bring your vaccine card or an image with you to the event.

If we are unable to verify that you are vaccinated, you will not be able to attend the event and we will refund your ticket price.

If you have symptoms of COVID-19 anytime in the two weeks leading up to the event, please do not attend. We will happily refund your ticket price.

Please note that we will adhere to all San Mateo County Health event guidelines, up to and including cancellation of the event should health precautions require it. If we must cancel the event, we will refund your ticket price in full.
