The South Asian Bar Association of North America Foundation, with support from SABA North America and its chapters, is excited to announce the South Asian Legal Impact Initiative.

In the first stage of the Initiative, we partnered with the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF) to fund a 2-Year South Asian Legal Impact Fellow whose fellowship started with AALDEF in the Fall of 2023. The South Asian Legal Impact Fellow will promote the civil rights of our growing communities through: Impact Litigation | Advocacy | Community Forums.

Vision: While our first step is to fund a Fellow, the ultimate vision is to establish a Legal Defense & Education Fund as other large affinity groups have done before us through the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, the Mexican American Legal Defense Fund, and the Asian American Legal Defense Fund. Join the SABA Foundation in being part of building this community asset for South Asian communities in North America. We welcome any donation amount. While building the Fund, the SABA Foundation will keep 10% of amounts raised in order to support current access to justice initiatives by the Foundation.
