Willow Wish is a grant program seeking to make evidence-based care available to any family in Arizona through our two grant programs. We bridge the gap between the inability to pay and access to boutique pregnancy and birthing care.

Our funding helps low-income families pay for the out-of-pocket expense that comes with their choices for a patient-centered birth experience.

The Birth Center Grant is for families who would choose an out-of-hospital setting, regardless of their ability to pay out-of-pocket. At this time, there are five accredited birth centers in Arizona: three in Phoenix, one in Mesa, and one in Tucson.

The Doula Care Grant is for families who need non-medical birthing support from certified doulas in any birth setting. Wherever a family chooses to birth: a hospital, a birth center, or at home, the Doula Care Grant makes it possible for them to hire a doula to support their birth journey.

Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and donors, we have funded 118 birth wishes since 2018. We strive to make patient-centered birth experiences accessible to all families who wish for one, regardless of their ability to pay.

Our fundraising efforts have made it possible to say yes to 112 birth center grants and 6 doula grants to date. Even so, we still have to send the, “I regret to inform you” letter every month so that is our motivation to continue with our grassroots effort to fund our grant programs.
