At Spencer County Humane Society, saving cats and dogs is only part of our mission. The other part the less glamorous but absolutely essential is keeping the lights on, the water running, and the medical shelves stocked so we can continue offering low-cost services to our community and step in when needed!

That’s why we’re introducing Monthly Sponsor Tickets a simple, transparent way for you to directly cover one of our biggest monthly bills (be it a person or business). Each ticket represents one specific expense. When that bill is covered, it frees up funds so we can say “yes” more often to low-cost vet care, spay/neuter programs, and lifesaving treatment. {Click on Donate/Tickets and swipe to see all the different "tickets"}

✅ When you sponsor a ticket:
Within 7 days of us paying that bill (monthly), we’ll email you proof of payment, so you know exactly where your support went. Each month, we’ll post our public “Ticket Board” so everyone can see which bills are covered and which still need a hero.

We’re committed to being as transparent as possible because we know how important trust is. These are our big bills the ones that, if not covered, often force us to scale back discounted services or put some programs on hold entirely. Anyone in the rescue world will tell you: this work is hard. But it’s even harder when our hands are tied by lack of funding.

As we are in our first five years, many grant opportunities are out of reach simply because we’re still considered “too new” and have to prove ourselves. And while we’re not against partnerships in fact, we welcome them, too often we’ve been left knocking on closed doors, not told “no,” but never told “yes.” None of our "ego's" are in the way of a better future for the pets within our community.
