✨ Our Spring Meet‑Up Story

What began in the fall of 2019 as a simple idea from our wonderful event coordinator, Kate Wagner—a cheerful gathering for Golden lovers—quickly grew into something truly special. That first meet‑up was such a hit that it sparked a tradition we’ve cherished ever since. With the exception of a brief pause in 2020, our rescue family has come together every Spring and Fall to celebrate adopters, fosters, volunteers, supporters, and of course, the Goldens who bring us all together.

🎉 Spring 2026 marks our 11th GGR Low Country Golden Retriever Meet‑Up, a milestone that fills us with gratitude and excitement. We’re hoping for our biggest turnout yet and can’t wait to share this joyful day with you.

🌳 What to Expect

Join us outdoors under the shade trees for an afternoon of community and fun. Enjoy cold craft beer from Hobcaw Brewing Co., delicious bites from a local food truck, and a lively raffle packed with great prizes. A few of our adoptable Goldens will also be there, hoping to meet the families who will love them forever. 🐾

💛 Why It Matters

Every dollar raised at this event helps provide essential medical care for the Golden Retrievers we rescue. Grateful Goldens Rescue of the Low Country (GGRLC) is a volunteer‑run, nonprofit organization dedicated to giving unwanted, abused, and neglected Goldens a second chance. Since 2004, we’ve rescued more than 2,500 dogs across Coastal South Carolina.

We’re honored to have earned 2025 Top‑Rated Nonprofit recognition and the 2026 Gold Seal of Transparency from CandidDot.org—achievements made possible by the unwavering support of our adopters, donors, and volunteers.

GGRLC is a 501(c)3 organization and as such all donations are tax deductible to the fullest extent allowed.
