A commitment that began in 2014

Leleka began when Ukrainians living in the United States joined volunteers in Ukraine to respond to Russia’s aggression. Together, they procured and delivered medical and first-aid supplies to paramedics, emergency crews, and hospitals.

What began as an urgent volunteer effort became a lasting commitment.

Over more than a decade, Leleka has built relationships with medical professionals, developed expertise in emergency trauma supplies, and strengthened the delivery networks that connect donors’ generosity with urgent needs. Since Russia’s full-scale invasion in 2022, that work has taken on even greater urgency.

A medical backpack is more than a collection of equipment. It puts essential tools within a medic’s reach. An evacuation vehicle helps carry wounded people toward further care. Behind each delivery is the purchasing, coordination, and transportation needed to get resources where they belong.
