It's our 75th Anniversary and we're celebrating!!!

Since 1948, we have worked tirelessly to care for our family and friends on the same block where it all began. Stella Maris has always been a special campus for our clients, alumni, and staff. Often referred to as the Campus of Hope, we are proud to say that we have now treated three generations of family members. Our treatment services have expanded over these 75 years, but our purpose has not changed: Stella Maris treats addiction, guides recovery, and rebuilds lives.

As the oldest treatment center in Ohio, and the oldest nonprofit detox and sober house in the United States, we consider ourselves the model for how an organization can adapt to meet community need across generations. Stella Maris is the only facility in northeast Ohio that offers individuals unique access to a full continuum of treatment services on one campus.

This continuum of care includes:

Withdrawal Management (Detoxification)
Inpatient Residential Treatment
Partial Hospitalization
Intensive Outpatient Treatment
Recovery Management
Certified Recovery Housing

This continuum of care is augmented with Wraparound Services including, 12-Step Groups, Art Therapy, Case Management, Equine Therapy, Family Therapy, Group Therapy, Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT), Post-Acute Withdrawal Management, Peer Support, Primary Care Medical Services, Psychiatric Services, Trauma Therapy, and Workforce Development Programs.

Specialized care is available for veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, survivors of human trafficking and domestic violence, and the LGBTQ+ community. All of our facilities and levels of care are Joint Commission accredited. We work diligently to ensure Stella Maris is a place all people feel welcome and safe.

Our dedicated staff continue to serve on the front-line of a drug epidemic that isn't slowing down. Last year, we cared for over 3,800 men and women. This year, that number will be over 5,000. The Stella Maris team possesses a profound commitment and selfless dedication to every person that walks through our doors through each step of recovery.
