Stephen Morris Hicks, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, died peacefully with family at his side on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the age of 81. A man of great integrity, humility, humor, and insight, he will be deeply missed by his family and by the larger community to which he was joyfully dedicated.

Steve was a board member of Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics beginning in 2014, and most recently served as Vice-Chair. He was a staunch supporter of community healthcare and dedicated his time and resources to improving the well-being and sustainability of SBNC. In recent years, Steve played a vital role in the successful launch of SBNC's campaign to complete its new integrated care clinic in the Westside neighborhood of Santa Barbara, as well as, growing immense support for integral upgrades to the organization's infrastructure and operational capacity.

A gift in his memory will provide a lasting tribute to SBNC, an organization Steve held dear to his heart. We thank you for your contribution in honor of a man dedicated to the hope that no one goes without the care they need. Healthy people truly make a healthy community.
