The James P Harrington Organization’s mission is to offer a nurturing and inclusive community of wellness, healing, and transformation. We offer free and low-cost alternative holistic programs and resources to better community well-being.

Established in 2022, the James P. Harrington Organization (JPH) is a nonprofit organization focused on improving whole family wellness with an emphasis on providing people who have undergone trauma, addiction, stress, depression and other mental health challenges with effective programs enabling them to recover and rebuild their lives.

Our free and low-cost community programming, funded by grants and donations, aims to provide equity and dignity for those who need mental health support. A supportive community can transform an individual’s trajectory of healing and growth. Programs for mindfulness and stress reduction, support for those who have experienced trauma or grief, wellness programs for caregivers, women’s workforce training and events that bring the community together are offered at our center at Ferry Hill. This unique property is situated on 9.3 acres that includes a historic barn and an attached building with an adjacent cottage. This peaceful retreat property has been in service to the community for over 60 years with a history of providing support for families through wellness programming, robust youth-based summer programming, and as a respite location to connect with nature. The JPH Organization was formed to continue this critical work and is dedicated to improving the well-being of women, men and children through our carefully designed programs.
