Internet, Meet Truth 💙

For more than 14 years, Truth has been a familiar and friendly face in the San Diego community. Every day, he sits on the curb near our apartment, listening to his radio and greeting everyone who passes by with warmth and kindness.

Originally from Ethiopia, Truth has been doing his best to make a life here in San Diego. Over the years, he’s befriended one of our team members, always looking out for her and lighting up whenever he gets to pet her dog, Cooper.

Recently, we shared a small but powerful moment together: Truth hadn’t had a haircut in over a year, and he hadn’t seen himself in a mirror in just as long. With some encouragement, he finally visited a barber friend. His reaction was pure joy — a reminder of how dignity and simple care can make such a big difference.

Why We’re Raising Funds:

We’ve started this GoFundMe because Truth deserves more than just getting by, he deserves stability, comfort, and support. Every donation will go directly toward helping him with housing, food, and hygiene essentials.

This is about more than meeting basic needs. It’s about showing Truth that his community sees him, values him, and wants to see him thrive.
