Sunday, November 2, 2025, at 3:00 PM, join the TAG Association, BlackBrownBoston, FUNDOARCU, and the Puerto Rican Festival of Massachusetts as we gather at La SALA (2379 Washington St, Roxbury) to honor our ancestors and loved ones who have transitioned, while celebrating the richness and resilience of our Latino heritage.

This year’s Cafecito will feature an interactive panel conversation with leaders of Massachusetts Latino arts and culture organizations, including:

Alexandra Valdez, President, Fundación Dominicana del Arte y la Cultura (FUNDOARCU)
Dr. Ilyitch Nahiely Tábora, President, TAG Association
Marylin Rivera, President, Puerto Rican Festival of Massachusetts
Vania Arroyo, Founder, BlackBrownBoston

Moderated by TAG alumnus Alejandro Jibril Taíkaniki, the discussion will explore the power of cultural memory, intergenerational connection, and invite guests to share their aspirations for Latino arts and culture celebrations and organizations.

Guests will enjoy light refreshments and the warmth of community. You are welcome to bring something to share if you wish — but most importantly, please bring a photo of a loved one and, if possible, a meaningful item to dedicate to them. We will create a collective ofrenda, a shared altar, celebrating those who came before us and continue to guide us.

This is a free community-building event, but registration is required and space is limited to 60 guests. All donations collected through this page will go toward event costs — they are appreciated but not required.
