TeachAAPI exists to redefine how Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) cultures and stories are perceived, and to weave AAPI history into our collective American identity to foster a more compassionate, collaborative and inclusive future for ALL.

Founded in 2021 by parents responding to increased aggression towards the AAPI community exacerbated by COVID-19, TeachAAPI's mission is to reshape how AAPI cultures and stories are understood and appreciated within the broader American identity, beginning with education. We provide relevant, immersive, and shelf-ready resources to parents, educators, students and community members. Our innovative curriculum impacts preschool to high school students across all 50 states, along with book campaigns, library collection refreshes, virtual programming, and live cultural showcases. Since our inception, we've reached over 100,000 students through our curriculum and programs alone.

Through our specialized curriculum, unique programs, and impactful outreach, we empower our partner communities to foster awareness and inclusivity. Our programs are forward-looking, multifaceted and experiential, celebrating the strength, diversity and value of the AAPI community. Sharing our stories beyond our community broadens perspectives, builds connections, and generates allyship to drive systemic change, while connecting AAPI children to their roots, strengthening pride and self-advocacy.
