My son has Tatton-Brown-Rahman Syndrome, which is caused by autosomal dominant mutations in the DNMT3A gene.
All of the people who have TBRS have intellectual disability. This means there is a chance my child will grow into an adult who needs constant care or supervision from strangers once I am dead—a terrifying thing for any parent to think about.
There are no treatments for TBRS. Funds are being raised to research whether any currently FDA-approved medications can be used to treat its symptoms.
The overall goal is to raise $30,000. My goal is to raise $3,000–10% of the total.
Please consider donating whatever you can. Any small amount would be appreciated. If you cannot donate, please consider sharing my link to your own social media accounts with a personal note to your followers encouraging a donation.
For anyone with the means to donate $500: I will offer two hours of photography service as a ‘thank you.’ This can be used for portrait sessions, family sessions, food photography, e-commerce, toward a wedding, engagement sessions, boudoir, you name it.
Thank you for your empathy and support.
