The Children’s Movement of Fresno is a resident-driven, community-based organization working to make Fresno the “best place to raise a family.” For us, that means ensuring every child has access to early learning, success in school, mental health and well-being, pathways to opportunity, and safe, healthy communities—while building toward more aligned, sustainable, locally driven investment in Fresno’s children and families.

Through staff, resident, and youth leadership, and strong cross-sector partnerships, TCM develops leaders who help shape policy, inform systems change, and drive collective action to support children and young people ages 0–25. We believe lasting change happens when those most impacted—residents, youth, and families—are not only heard, but are equipped and empowered to lead.

TCM organizes and trains families to become effective advocates and decision-makers, building a strong base of community leadership that informs campaigns, policy priorities, and regional conversations. Through ongoing engagement and large-scale convenings, we bring together leaders across education, health, housing, government, business, and community organizations to strengthen alignment around shared priorities for children and families.

By centering lived experience and advancing community-led solutions, TCM is helping to align systems, influence policy, and build momentum toward a more coordinated, community-informed future—together, building what’s next for Fresno’s children and families.
