Telecom for Change got its start hosting a fundraiser in New Orleans, and Louisiana will always be special to us.

As many of you know, our founder, Angie Tocco, has lived in New Orleans part-time for years and was in the city when Hurricane Ida hit. She was fortunate to have evacuated with friends after the storm passed, but evacuating is a privilege that just isn't possible for many residents. Those who remain in the hardest-hit areas are doing so without electricity, safe drinking water, and many are also without shelter or enough food.

There are many great organizations on the ground taking care of neighbors, and we want to support them as best we can. Any monetary donations we collect will be distributed to groups in the bayou and river parishes or used for purchasing supplies like fuel for cars and generators.

Additionally, we are asking for donations of charged power banks with cords, battery-operated fans, and unworn socks. Grab the extras you've collected from conferences. Let's put them to use for people who need them.
