Every playful moment is a chance to grow.

My project, Playing with Purpose, is designed to transform how early childhood classrooms use play—not as filler time, but as a powerful framework for learning. By making every activity intentional, children can build math, science, literacy, social-emotional, and practical life skills while still experiencing the joy of play.

Instead of worksheets and rigid instruction, children will explore through:

Play Grocery Store → Learning money skills, turn-taking, and problem-solving.
Building Blocks → Practicing engineering, resilience, and creativity.
Sensory Tables → Discovering cause-and-effect, science, and teamwork.

This project equips teachers with prompts, tools, and training to bring intentional play into classrooms—and shows parents how play translates to real learning at home.

Why It Matters

Too often, play in early childhood is either unstructured chaos or too rigid to be joyful. Without purpose, play loses its power.

Children need joyful, intentional learning that prepares them for school and life.
Teachers need frameworks and resources that align with standards while keeping classrooms engaging.
Parents need to see the progress their children are making and connect it to everyday life.

Playing with Purpose bridges those needs, ensuring that every playful moment is a foundation for resilience, curiosity, and lifelong learning.
