At The Village Lansing, our mission is to uplift and empower our youth to deter paths that lead to gun violence. Through TVL Boxing, we fulfill this mission by using boxing as a powerful medium to connect deeply with our youth, create a safe environment, and offer the consistent mentorship and life-skills development they need to navigate through life.

Boxing teaches discipline, resilience, and problem-solving, while offering a constructive space to release energy and build community. But our impact goes far beyond the ring. We intentionally pair our intense athletic training with critical life-skill building, including:

Conflict Resolution, teaching youth how to de-escalate tension before it turns into violence
Emotional Regulation, giving them the tools to process anger, trauma, and stress safely
Leadership & Teamwork, helping them see themselves as vital, positive leaders in our community
