Voices of the Canyon & First Responder Thank-You BBQ

Join us as we honor the brave first responders who worked tirelessly to protect our community and combat the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park's largest fire in history.

Starting at 10:00 am, hear directly from the firefighters, park staff, and emergency crews as they share their stories, challenges, and reflections in “Voices of the Canyon.”

We also wish to recognize the families who stood behind them—sacrificing time apart, many enduring days and nights without seeing their loved ones.

Following the program, stay for a Thank-You Picnic—a time to relax, connect, and show gratitude.

Free lunch will be provided by for all first responders and their families.
Community members are warmly invited to join for a $5/per person donation, with all proceeds supporting ongoing recovery and restoration efforts at the park.

Let’s come together in appreciation for those who served, those who sacrificed, and to celebrate the spirit of resilience and renewal in our community.
